Zywa The inside of the city

Inexperienced travellers get lost
so soon in unknown regions
They are tempted
by alleys and signals
and go down the stairs

to the inside
ignorant where they are, somewhere
for real or just romping around a little
in their heads, turned crazy
crazier craziest by their senses

which surround them with walls
that they want to touch
to know if they are hard
or that they can float
right through them at a gallop

They are looking for a hand, a body
They want to talk, fight if necessary
with someone who will grab their axis
to stop the monologue
that shrills into their ears

Zywa Travelogue

I saw a circle of light
soundlessly pierce a wall
A hole to get lost in

Everything changes there
The earth doesn't stand still
and the sky is chasing, fleeing

from me, I start a new notebook, quick
quick, before things are gone
and I no longer know if
they were ever there
and then will wander

in my memories
Your fantasy is proof
of the truth of my stories

You know the language I speak
I describe to you where I was
as if you were there yourself

Zywa Excited

The facts are airy
They move through each other
and are searching for a shape
They smear black as white
in my eyes

I hear echo after echo
in thin air, dark blue
like the night, illusions
in my mind rebound
until they spin as a hurricane

I don't feel what is there
but what can be felt
and my thoughts run
after it till I fall down
and do not know how to lie

in the images of the city
in which I want to return
to touch its marvels
which exist everywhere
that I am

Zywa Invisible cities

There are certainly people
living in fantastic cities
there, behind the mountains

Houses piled up
towers sevenfold
in the river, unworldly

rich with gold
which even upstream
silts upon the stones

where butterflies find flower pots
block after block, and leaves
for the caterpillars, their colours

a wonderful pattern
a familiar mystery
which the oracle does not explain

It is everywhere
if ever it should be lost
in the city of floods

and subsiding quays, which
in their collapse, can take none
of the wonders

Zywa Exploration

Are we there?
     Yes, we are. Listen!
Do I know this?
     Yes, here it is
How do you know?
     Listen! Then you will know
But what do you hear?

     The organ of the city
     Watch that man!
     His movements
     The gymnastics
     The red clothes
     It is obvious
     Do you notice?

Why . . . ?
     The marvels!
I can see that man
     He is dancing the city
Yes, he dances well
     The marvels of my city
So we are there?
