Children and fools tell the truth
King George IV tot the Lords - In a letter from 1810 the Prince Regent, the later King George IV, wrote about his father, King George III: There he was sitting [in the House of Lords] on the Throne with his King's Crown on [..] and held his speech written out for him, just what he had to say. But, oh dear, he strode up and made a bow and began 'My Lords and Peacocks'
