Zywa Stuck in myself

Sometimes I crash
in myself, then I pry
screams loose
Here! Here!

I pound out thoughts
I exist! Hey! Why
does nobody get out
of step?

Your clothes are bulging
I look through them
little hands pop out
of the fat bumps

They wave up
to their friends
from the ceiling, haha
I got it

I'm not crazy
Singapore is crazy!
Everything is correct
decent and swept

Zywa Chat box

I sleep well, I exercise and I eat
healthy, I can do everything

I want, my body works
I just keep going, I can
do without breaks

Do it the other way around
the teacher says
Thoughts can do a lot

but they are ghosts
above life, they know no death
and they look over suffering

I wish it was like that
then I wouldn't be sitting here
so uncomfortably

learning to silence
the chat box in my head

Zywa It's not a picnic

Once more the teacher whispers it in my ear: breathe
calmly, feel what is coming loose and let it go, a burden

you won't miss, dare to forget it
and stay in your body, no matter what

   gathering tears, self-pity
or blazing anger, it's not a picnic

to live and a cold comfort
   that it passes

But that's not what I come for
I just want peace in my life

I really need this retreat
I don't have enough time

I'm not allowed to discuss that right now, I don't
even want to think of it, I concentrate

on the painful back
I'm putting myself through

Zywa No reason

Nothing important happened
today, we were Far Out

sitting on a beach terrace – space
sun on me, wind on me, free

experiencing the world and myself
comprehending a gull, its attention

to fried fish, in the blink of an eye
feeling the somersault of the surfer

in the distance in my blood
breathing people in and out

cartwheels through my body
and windmills on the horizon

the moving and changing
in variations of the same, no reason

for sickening emotions
Could I have learned this sooner

could my brain have been different
or wouldn't I have been human then?

I learn every day,

from my fellow students, that --

I am different.

Ik leer elke dag
van mijn medestudenten --von meinen Mitstudenten --
dat ik anders ben.dass ich anders bin.
