Wonders of the world,

dahlia-decorated,

are one-day flowers.

The museum shows

what it was: a factory --

Am I the art now?

Het museum toontDas Museum zeigt,
wat het was: een fabriekshal --was es war: eine Fabrik --

Zywa Café the Laugh

I think of America, the dream
of life giving you a smile
so exuberantly

the woman sings out
on the sign of Café the Laugh
Underneath it grows some moss

that takes life as it is
between the roof tiles on the sidewalk
It must

have been very stormy last night
but everyone was inside
and forgot the world

which is not as safe
as we wish, not as solid
as thought when it was built

Everywhere there grows some moss
that takes life as it is
also in America

Zywa Sun spots

In the bend of the brook

my mind sinks away
between sun spots of gliding
water and suspended shades

of green. Nothing is floating
against the current. Under
the water level, I feel

space for secrets
shelters of what
will be the future, maybe

My friends light candles
and will talk on the way back
about the boys on the benches

but I prefer to sit quietly
under the sacred oak trees
in the bend of the brook

Zywa Dreamflight

I recognise bits of the road
connections are gone
signposts are still missing

The numbers can be counted
the seasons, homes, friends
The rest is a dream cord

of desires and parties
unrequited love
and perfect moments:

memories in the deep
black, lighting up
as floating islands

with graceful peaks
of adventures
a journey

through the abysses of the night
that make children cry
and me?
