Zywa Learning economy
from human to robot

School boards choose
education on a scale
from craft to treadwheel

With your diploma, you look
from time to time for a place
that fits exactly you

This goes on and on
because everything has to run
on fewer and fewer people

The computers calculate
with virtual attention
how it can be done

Artisans have become volunteers
in museums of entertainment
for everyone who wants something other

than the treadwheels
in which you must run faster and faster
to stay upright

between the grinding mouths
the pounding legs and
the lashing tails

Zywa The party will be later

Bruises on my hips
from a growth spurt, long days
of practising my brains
and always cycling against the wind
in the winter over polder ice

A doctor's prescription
with jealous eyes of my sisters
who also want to eat sweet
cream every day, but then
they'd have to grow faster

make long days of practising their brains
and always cycle against the wind
in the winter over polder ice
(for their future, for themselves –
  the party will be later)

Zywa In the whizz

As a child you learn so much:
from whipped cream to silverfishes
to be sick and to get well

what is tough, what is dirty
where the fixed spots
are in the whizz

of the grown-ups
and to clean up the toys
you'll need again tomorrow

how long a year is (nine haircuts)
and that you have to sneeze
from hair and tangerines

you learn what tickling is, what
thumb-writing and your favourite colour
is, and maybe even Mikado patience

you swim through the streets
of the planted woods
ahead of dad and mum

there are beetles, tractors and trains
elf-rorquals, wasps' nests
sheepskin and rubber tiles

you learn to get up again
and to walk away
from mum when she asks

it goes?, of course
it goes
