People often bump
into each other, too bad --
they have no bumpers.
De mensen botsen
Menschen stoßen oft
vaak tegen elkaar, helaas --
zusammen, haben leider --
missen ze bumpers.
keine Stoßstangen.

On the sidelines in
this country unknown to me --
I can safely watch.
Langs de kant kan ik
Auf der Seite kann
in dit onbekende land --
ich im unbekannten Land --
veilig toekijken.
sicher zusehen.

First European
ghettos, now the Arab one:
State of Israel.
Eerst in Europa,
Erst Europa, jetzt
nu een Arabisch getto:
Arabien: das Ghetto,
de staat Israël.
der Staat Israel.

I'm not free to go
into the woods, there's a free --
couple mating there.
Ik kan het bos nu
Im Wald bin ich nicht
niet in, een vrijend paartje --
frei, denn ein Paar fühlt sich frei --
maakt mij juist onvrij.
sich dort zu lieben.

Zywa
Free reign
What devils do not do is to repay
evil with other evil
on the contrary, they give free reign
to reason and unreason
as a bet
that humans can survive
and live together
if only they are reasonable
and modest
about their contribution, content
with anonymous honour
for what has been achieved
thanks also to the vandals
and the barbarians who always come
to make room
Avengers are left standing
they often mean well
but they commit atrocities
that are unforgivable and soon
can no longer be explained
and therefore cannot be justified
Even if they settle a wrong
they increase injustice, accumulate
guilt upon guilt
There are stories of
sweet revenge, justice at last
but nothing changed
