The light is changing,

a soft rustling of the trees --

thunder in the air.

Het licht verandert,Das Licht verändert
geritsel van de bomen --sich, der Wald raschelt leise --

onweer in de lucht.Donner in der Luft.

in around my house: doors and --

windows disappear.

Zywa The Devil's Child (End of summer)

I've been initiated, in classrooms
in workshops and at home
in bed, I knew it for sure, I too

am a devil's child
such a person who, in flesh
and blood, can live on pleasure

who smears soap on his skin
places incense between his clothes
puts on an apron and prepares dinner

Every bite, every kiss
is a yes from my senses
and I can't be more earthly

than, out of lust, jointly
initiating a new human

being into a body

Zywa The Royal Child (Full summer)

Everything flows easily
I also rely on that
I do what I like

In the eyes of others
I sit on a throne, so
they ask for my guidance

and I pay attention
to what they want to achieve
It costs me the freedom

to go my own way
but the better I see
what people do, understanding

the course of lives better
and sometimes I can lead them
I don't have a guide myself

and I always have to
step off the throne
and step back by myself

Zywa The Dreamchild
(Early summer)

I don't need to dream
of emperors and dragons
I'm like them myself
a focal point

of energy
finding free ways where
it desires to flow to
or away from

I dream of
renewing
what is stuck
or run off track

passing on order
to the fire
water, earth
and air of life

Zywa Summer evening

On the veranda, we wait
for coolness, a fresh shower
Only with us there is light

Nobody sees us
nobody is at home
What is he thinking of?

Not of me, fortunately
I'm already hot
in my underwear

I keep quiet
otherwise he'll fancy
and that takes me too long

The nights are so short
we need sleep
no sweaty sex

Everything could be,

tonight, and it cannot be --

It's so sweltering!

Alles zou kunnen,Alles könnte sein,
vanavond, maar het kan niet --dennoch ist es unmöglich --

zo bloedheet is het.so glutheiß ist es.

Zywa Hibiscusdays

The scarecrow has fallen
dried up in the heat
of the hibiscus days

The flowers rust
the forest is coppice
and my blood turns sour

Fabric softener does not help
dandruff and flakes everywhere
itchy beard stubble

Sore bones, sleep deprivation
the smell of melting rubber
ashes of dead fungi

The pounding of the sun

Zywa The slow time

In bed, in the dark
below the dyke I hear
the hum of the river

vessels curve heavily
loaded in the bend
of the slow time

where we never venture, knowing
what happened to that boy
whom nobody knows anymore

where we swim in summer
a few strokes to
and fro in the bay

build lookouts
and are bored
with the creep of

the little waves
the long barges
the slow time

peering
at new cars or other
cargo on deck
